Sorry for adding another answer but I want to share my experience. I lease a horse from the barn that I ride at on site and I am responsible for getting them exercise, grooming them, and mucking out. The barn takes care of the feed, water, and boarding bill. If it is off site you would be responsible for all of it including the boarding bill.

Leasing can be defined differently. If it is on site leasing you probably get to ride the horse and muck out their stall maybe feed and water them and groom them. If it is off site leasing you have complete responsibility of the horse until you stop leasing them.

Well, If Your Leasing A Horse You Have To Take Care Of That Person's Horse Until They Want It Back. Let's Say You Want To Lease That Horse For A Week. You'd Take Care Of The Horse For A Week.

What is an in barn horse lease?

It means that you lease a particular horse in a stable where you go riding . That means only you and the staff ride or exercise the horse. Your lease should cover feed, cleaning and Vet care , and that you are not responsible for any care unless you cause an injury to the horse while only YOU are riding it. It should also state you have unlimited riding time , and saddles and tack are provided by the facility. Get this in writing, and if you are under age, have a parent have the lease checked for loopholes so you are not responsible for something unexpectedly. It you are not 18, you can not legally sign a binding lease by yourself anyway.

How much is half livery on a horse?

It depends on the type of lease, and the state you're in. In Alaska, it may be as high as $400 a month, however in Washington you will find prices are quite a bit cheaper, some being $200 a month. Sometimes you are better off just taking lessons, since a lease is actually you paying the owner to take care of their horse. However, sometimes you may receive an option to buy after a bit of time.

Depending on who wants to rent the horse, yes you can.

How do you rent a horse for ond day at a show and how to find a horse to rent?

I'm not sure you can lease a horse at a show. If you want to lease a horse, so owners will. you could look in classifieds in a paper or on a announcement board of a tack shop. But if you want to lease a horse, usually you can't for only one day. Or if you mean for a trail ride or a lesson, you would want to go the a riding stable.

What do you have to do if you lease a horse?

When you lease a horse you have to care for it like you own it. If you are leasing at a local barn you may not have to feed it because the barn employees will. When you are leasing you can ride the horse and do pretty much everything you would if it was your own horse. Leasing costs anywhere between $150-$450 a month.
