It could be for many reasons. Humans actually evolved in Africa and we then traveled all over the world. Maybe some species of animals stayed put. Also there are just as many animals in Africa as there are in any other continent in the world- excluding Antarctica- it's just that Africa has more exciting species than we have in Europe, although when the Earth had Pangea we would have had many of those species as well
30yrs ago the were 50,000-70,000 lions now there are less than 2,000 lions.Currently, there are less than 21,000 lions living in Africa. This number is down from almost 200,000 only a century ago.
It might already be. If not, it's because they are located in North Africa, and not many people travel there to hunt exotic animals. So, it's still alive, it's helped by the location it lives in.
Giraffes and meerkats are two animals that are native to Africa and are not found naturally anywhere else in the world. Both species have adapted to the unique habitats and environments found on the African continent.
The lions of Africa are meat eating animals. So they usually hide near a water area in the evening when the animals come for a good long drink in the evening. And they then pounce on them , the animals usually the prey is a zebra. They need this food for their energy for running in the forests .
