If your hamster is falling on it's back for no reason or is generally unbalanced then you need to take it to a vet as soon as possible, please don't let it suffer. If your hamster is falling onto it's back off something, or if its falling onto it's back when it is climbing on the cage bars then you dont need to worry much! hope I helped!! ∙ 11y agoMy dwarf hamster just love sleeping on his back, upside down. first i got a bit worried but soon i discovered that that is quite normal for him and whats more important, he has chosen to sleep that way more than other ways! when its warm, he dont even bother to sleep in his house, just flip himself on his back and sleeps away in a corner of his cage in his favorite spot. this gives you an unique opportunity to check his belly for any abnormalities, plus they look so cute when they sleep that way!! i think its normal, just like humans they choose they favorite, most comfortable for them position to sleep !
