Why does your dog chew up your underwear?

No, I don't. I put my underwear in a laundry hamper and he has chew a hole in the netting to get to my things. I've also put them in a clothes basket and put the basket on top of a chair , but he jumps onto the chair to get to the basket. He usually does this when I am out occasionally, he does it when I'm home and gets scolded for it. He has also chewed up my blue jeans.

they often will circle around too... its from before dogs had baskets, sleeping in grass for instance they would walk around in circles to flatten it to their body shapes.. scratching serves two purposes.. disturbs any potential perils in older times and makes the flattened area a bit more comfortable
