Yes! Horses make excellent pets as they come in every size, color and personality possible. Just like a human's fingerprint, no two horses have the same markings, even twins. Twin foals are rare - 1 in 10, 000 births. They also have funny and sweet personalities - I suggest that you take a look at some and find one to suit you!
No, not as good as pets as dogs or cats do. Yaks need a lot of land to keep them on, just like with horses and cows, and there are many municipalities, counties and states that may restrict you from keeping a yak, be it as a pet or as livestock.

about 98% of the population of horses are kept as pets There are about 800,000 horses in the world, with the numbers still going up. And about 600,000 of those horses are kept as pets. About 2/3 fo the whole horse population.
There isn't a way to age up your horses on Sims 3 Pets. They simply age as you take care of them.
No. Horses are used for riding and as pets as well.
Horses do not make good pets. They are large, expensive to keep and when you go out of town, you have to have someone watch them. Horses are beast of burden and are excellent for showing & riding. But they are not good pets. Dogs and cats are good pets. Treating your horse like a pet and not a horse will result in a horse with problems.
No although that would be good you can't get horses on any of the sims 2 pets games. Sorry w33_3mma xx

the sims 2 pets does not have horses
I could not find an entry for hores in my dictionary. If you mean horses, there are miniature horses that make good indoor pets. They are easy to house break. A number have been trained to guide blind people. Guide dogs for blind people live for about 12 years. Guide miniature horses live for about 35 years. A full size horse would be far too large to make a good indoor pet.
