The 2005 Grand Prix Base model and GT models have 3.8L's and the GXP models have the 5.3L V8. I know the location on the 3.8L.
- Take the engine cover off
- Look at the very top of the motor, the intake manifold.
- There are fuel rails running over the top of this manifold.
- There is a bolt holding 2 of the rails in place right in the middle.
- To the bottom right of this bolt is the PCV valve.
- It has two bolts holding it in and no lines running to it.
Try this link for location and procedure to change:http://macgp.clubgp.com/howto/engine/pcv/gt/pcv.htmlHope this helps!Slim
The PCV valve is located under the MAP sensor on a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix. The MAP sensor is in the upper plenum.
In the valve cover at the right front corner
Yes.

Did you ever find the location of the pcv valve?
Yes, a person can get a diagram of the PCV valve location in a 1989-1999 Mercury Grand Marquis. This diagram would be located in the maintenance books found in auto part stores.
The PCV valve on a GTP is inside of the supercharger housing. For detailed pics and instructions see the following web page. http://macgp.clubgp.com/howto/pcv/pcv.html . "G"
it is on the rear valve cover.very hard to get to..The pcv valve is not visible on a 3800 series II engine, which I presume you have in your Grand Prix, because it is located under the MAP sensor. You will find that at the front of the engine, where the serpentine belt is located. Unplug the connector to the MAP sensor and then you will have to unclip the sensor itself. You will then see pcv valve underneath.3For a 3800 normally asperated check out the following website for pics and instructions. http://www.scacgp.com/mods/gt_pcv.htm."G"
