NO. The center shaft in the 4-wheel and 2-wheel drive transmissions are a DIFFERENT length. WILL not interchange.
K indicates 4WD, C indicates 2WD.
I have the same problem and am looking for help.

bad therm actutor in 4wd front axle
Chevy did have a 4 cylinder in the S-10 but just like Ford does not offer 4WD with the 4 cylinder, Chevy may do the same. A search of "Chevy S-10 Specs" on Google will provide an answer.
This question refers to the 1993 Chevrolet K1500 with the 6.2L diesel (engine code 'C') 8-cylinder 4WD. The K1500 has a service capacity of 7 quarts. Synthetic 5W40 and 15W40 is suggested for this diesel application. Shell Rotella T, Mobil Delvac I (Turbo Diesel Truck), and Chevron Delo 400, make grades specifically suited for this engine.
A Silverado C1500 is a 2WD light truck, K1500 is a 4WD light truck. Please clarify what you mean about the r and the v as I am unfamiliar with that coding.
