Check the light switch- it may be sticking or it may be malfunctioning, such as short in the switch. It is possible to repair-but sometimes it might need to be replaced. A local relaible auto repair shop would be a first suggestion. If that is not satisfactory then go to a dealer. Howver, they tend to cost a little more. Just experienced the same problem on my 93 Ford Crown Vic.
crown Victoria blower not working and head lights.
lights are very dim
The fuse probably blew that controls the dashboard lights.
Your brake lights are out too! Replace the fuse.
Brake lights and turn signals are on a separate circuit from the tail lights. Tail lights are on the same circuit with the dashboard lights. If the dashboard lights aren't working either, check the fuse. If they ARE working, check the headlight switch.
Probably the flasher unit needs to be replaced. This is an electronic switch which usually mounts underneath the dashboard.
Dash has to be removed. Dealership replaced all lights and charged 250 dollars us.
The hazard and blinker lights are located behind the dashboard tray. To fix the fuse, you unfortunately had to take the dashboard out.
Your dashboard lights suddenly not working is almost always your indication that your taillights are out. If the fuse for your taillights is blown and you replace it, your dash lights should be fine.
Check the fuse or the wiring
Check headlights and dashboard lights first. If no/minimal power for the lights then replace battery.
Some cars have a knob for the headlights. If this knob is turned left or right when pulled out, it changes the brightness of the dashboard lights from off to full brightness.
