Begin by removing the oil from your oil pan. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts. Put a new gasket on your new oil pan and reverse the process.

Your manual trans will use Dextron III Auto fluid. Yes, it uses Auto Fluid. That blew me away when I found that out. I thought it would have used gear oil, but that is not the case for the Firebird.
The 1995 Pontiac Firebird V-6 engine oil pump is located on the bottom of the engine. The oil pan will need to be removed in order to see the oil pump.
Hold the oil/trip Reset button while ignition is on (not car) for 8 seconds
All car engines have an oil pump.
