My sons car did the same thing and his father in law has a auto garage and put a machine on it and it needed a new crankshaft sensor. Now it runs like new.
You might be on the right track but the "Cam sensor" is notorious for the syntom you discribe. While the" Crank Sensor" notorious for intermittent starting. just figure I mention this so you don't go out and buy something without double checking. sometimes you can't return electronic parts. Also double check this, times are hard. LUCK!
Is the correct fuse being used? Sounds like it could possibly be burning out the motor.
The fan will not turn on till your vehicle is at operating temperature. Check it again when the engine is hot.
were your plates are at if you look under were the caps that shield the light bulbs there should be like two tabs that you sort of pinch together and then pull down were the shield caps should remove entirely and then unplug old bulbs and plug the new ones in and again pinch two tabs together when you cover bulbs again
i think because Hyundai is a bad car? there shouldn't be much you can do about it except to sell it off and get a better car. that was what i did to my previous Hyundai, and i know i never will get such junk again. At the end of you wiper arm there is aplastic cover pry open there your see a nut can't remember the size , but just tighten the nut on both arms. I have an 2001 should be the same.
Get in the car and shut the door, DO NOT lock the door. The alarm will be going off at this piont. Wait for the alarm to stop. Put the key in and turn it to the ON position, the alarm will activate again, wait for it to stop. When all is silent for a few moments turn the key to off, take it out and wait for the safety beep. After of which, put the key back in, turn the key to on and wait for the 3 beeps and start the car. This worked for my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon and it may work for yours as well. All i did on my 03 Tiburon GT was turn key to "on" while alarm was going off waited 30 seconds and started it right up Make sure you are using the original key as well, my tiburon key has a chip in it that works with the alarm, if you are using a duplicate that doesn't have the chip that also could be your problem.
Check the ignition coils and the crankshaft position sensor. One of these could be failing as they heat up.
pee on the engine it will cool down
Look to see if any ground wires are loose, sounds like there could be a short happening. If that does not solve the problem bring it to a mechanic.
In 2009.
