2000 Ford Expedition it will start but wont stay running without giveing it gas?

You have an inbalance with air/fuel mixture. I had this problem and after checking air filter, cleaning air intake ultimately it was changing out the IAC that fixed my problem. IAC is located close to the engine fire wall behind the manifold (just left). Easier to replace the whole thing cost me about $25 and an hour to install.
