The only (provided that you have cleaned the block and head surfaces, used the proper gasket, and torqued the head in the proper sequence and lbs), is a cracked or warped head. The head should be magnafluxed to test for cracks, and planed for warpage. Also, are you sure it's antifreeze coming out of the tailpipe? Some engines build up condensation under certain conditions in the exhaust system and drip water from the tailpipe.
Try retorquing the head bolts from the center out in an X pattern. This head was checked, resurfaced and rebuilt by a reputable machine shop. It was put on and torque to specifications from the middle. The reason I asked this question this was I checked this head twice now and get the same results. I noticed that water goes thru the intake and why couldn't it cause the same result of a bad head gasket if water was finding it's way into a piston chamber. If it couldn't possibly the reason I wish someone could explain why.
Yes. Antifreeze is actually pumped through the intake manifold. If the gasket is bad it is possible that it leaks out
IT sounds like oil is dripping on the exuast manifold check valve cover gasket. The green liquid is probably antifreeze coming from a water hose.
You will need a new set of head gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, intake manifold gasket, new thermostat, 2 gallons of antifreeze, 2 gallons of distilled water, and any hose that may need replacing.
If it has the 4.3 ltr engine, the intake manifold is notorious for leaking at the back of the engine where you cannot see it. Try using a mirror at the rear of the intake manifold and look for wetness. Replacing the gaskey is the best fix.
replacing the fittings
The manifold itself could be cracked. I have a 2000 Pathfinder LE with 100k miles and a 3.3. I noticed an antifreeze leak on the right side of the top of the engine. Using a mirror, I found that under the manifold, there was a nice crack.
Yes.
Intake manifold gaskets are leaking, intake manifold is warped.
Because it 's leaking- OIL, ANTIFREEZE, or vacume leak
Could be the intake manifold gaskets are leaking.
Yes, you need to replace your intake gaskets.
most time it is caused by intake gasket failure
