if you are texting on it all the time, you get addicted to it. that's why!
Texting can be addictive due to the instantaneous nature of communication and the constant stream of notifications, which trigger a release of dopamine in the brain. This addiction can be exacerbated by the need for social connection and fear of missing out on important information. Additionally, the convenience and ease of texting compared to other forms of communication can lead to increased usage.
Yes, texting can be addictive. However, as long as a certain amount of self control is exercised, you will not get "addicted". Texting is very similar to social media in a way that it can lead to uncontrolled usage. Part of what makes texting addictive is that you may have interesting things to discuss with your text mate. This can be alleviated by meeting with him/her more frequently so you can discuss the gossip face to face, as opposed to texting.
No one plans on getting addicted. It happens to millions of people.
that they are addicted to texting and don't live in reality
Approximately 97% of Americans regularly use texting as a form of communication.
