Most USSR Stamps from 1970s through its collapse have very little value. You can often buy them for as little as 5% of Scott Catalogue value in bulk. Your best bet would be to browse eBay to find out the real market value (don't look at just the prices being charged but look for auctions that actually closed successfully with buyers). Older stamps as well as several specific issues (such as the World Wildlife Foundation issues) have some interest and sells for relatively high price. Collections also in year sets (i.e. sets that contains all of the stamps issued in the year) have good demands.

Most banknotes have some value, depending on the age of the note, the denomination and the condition it is in. Old notes are not necessarily worth large amounts of money just because they are old - it depends on the number of notes issued at the time and how many survive.

A 1961 Russian 100 Ruble note in mint condition would be worth $10, whilst a good used one would be worth $3. The same denomination from 2001 would be worth $30 - the same price for one dated 1912.

There were over 5,000 USSR stamps issued between 1921 and 1991. Please narrow it down with a year and a specific stamp design.

The prices vary from stamp to stamp, year to year and the condition of the stamp. Without knowing which stamps and their condition, it really is difficult to tell.

How much is one stamp?

It depends whether the stamp is new or used, old, rare, scarce or with a mistake. Most used stamps are usually only worth a few cents. New stamps are worth at their face value. The old, rare scarce or stamps with a mistake can be worth from pennies to 100's, 1000's, to possibly a million dollars.

Can the local post office tell you how much old stamps are worth?

If the stamp has been used, the post office will tell you it is worthless. If a stamp has not been used, they will tell you it is worth whatever is on its face value. The post office will not appraise a stamp for its collectable value.

How much is stamp worth?

The worth of a stamp depends on many factors which could cause a stamp to be worth pennies to hundreds, thousands into a million dollars. Most issues were printed in the 100's of millions of stamps making them worth only pennies. Some of the factors that make a stamp worth more are:Rarity: Stamps that had only a few printed go up in value.Old: Most old stamps have a good value, but not all of them.Mistakes or (Errors, Freaks and Oddities): Usually have very good values.Supply and demand: Some stamps go up in value because of demand. How much is an old pound stamp worth?

Hard to say without a full determination as to how old it is and where it is from. One pound stamps are not really common and they have a reasonable value, even used, if they are in good condition. You might be able to get several pounds for it. But you will have to consult a catalog.

Can you use 2 2006 first class stamps to mail a letter?

Yes. But that's more postage than a standard letter is worth. You can add small-denomination stamps to bring the total up to whatever the first class rate is when you use the old stamps. First class stamps in 2006 (Lady Liberty with a US flag backdrop, or two blue lovebirds on a yellow background) were worth 39 cents.

How much will a 2 cent stamp be worth today?

There is a lot of variety in asking about a 'two cent stamp.' You will have to determine a lot more about it to determine value. Consult a postage stamp catalog, usually available at your local library for exact identification and catalog values. Most used US postage stamps are worth 15 or 20 cents, the minimum amount required to catalog and stock the stamps. Unused will always be worth at least their face value. Special cancellations and different values are likely to be worth more. If it is truly an old stamp, it could range in value to a couple of dollars. If it is a really rare variety, it could be worth much more!
