im not sure, ive given sunflower kernels to my dog a 3 yr old pit bull and she loves them and i didnt notice any abnormalities. but you should still ask a vet i hope this helps

it has been my experience that anything we can eat, a dog can eat. i`ve heard that chocolate is toxic to dogs, but my dog loves it, and has been eating it with me for more than ten years and is doing just fine.
