there is a theory that there are. the choice is up to you! Einstein said that Schwartzchild wormholes may be a gateway to alternate universes the math is quite complicated but on paper it is quite possible ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Theoretically, we do have parallel universes, and some [although not alot] of evidence supporting this theory has come up. Actually, even though the notion seems entirely ludicrous, there is some serious math behind the parallel universes theory or the many-worlds interpretation.
We can't tell it exactly, but it might be possible. There are chances that there is a slight difference in time between two parallel universes and might cause a difference in what is happening to recover it. For example, assume that you are playing pool and you hit the white ball and it suddenly diverts itself without colliding into any other balls. This is due to the time difference between two parallel universes. There is another example between 2 parallel universes, again assume that you are playing pool. You hit the white ball and it travels to another ball to strike it. Mid way it disappears. While in the other parallel universe you can see one ball divided into 2. But as you asked, it should be possible to reach other universes through wormholes, forward or backwards in time. When an object moves closer to the speed of light, around a wormhole it is possible to travel through time. But it would be a violation of the laws of Motion. But to a person far away from a wormhole it appears that the object in the worm hole appears to be moving faster than the speed of light. Hence time travel is possible through worm holes. For further information watch the YouTube video " how to travel through time, a documentary by discovery channel.
There are several speculative ideas in astronomy, which can't currently be proved - nor completely disproved. Some of these include wormholes; parallel universes; the possibility of time travel and faster-than-light travel.
Only 1, and you're looking at it. But in theory, there could be infinite amounts because we just don't know how many there really are.
Today, scientists no longer think in terms of a 'universe' as everything that exists. Our knowledge of the world we live in has progressed enormously as each new discovery reveals another fascinating truth. We used to think that Earth was at the center of everything that exists. We used to think that the stars in the night sky were somehow "stuck" on a celestial sphere. Even one hundred years ago, we thought that the Milky Way Galaxy was 'the universe'. Today, what we are accustomed to thinking of as 'the universe' composed of 100 billion galaxies racing away from each other at light speed may not be all of reality. Our universe may be one of many other universes in an even larger realm. This new totality is dubbed 'the multiverse'. Each universe in this multiverse may be likened to a 'brane' or 'bubble'. These separate universes are labeled by physicists and philosophers as 'parallel universes' or 'parallel worlds'. You can see how our knowledge of the world has progressed from 'other planets' to 'other stars' to 'other galaxies' and now to 'other universes'. And so far, the only other world we earthbound humans have personally visited is the Moon.
What "other universes"? There is no clear evidence that such "other universes" even exist. If they do exist, it would likely make no sense to speak about how old they are NOW. Even within our own Universe, it doesn't make sense to speak about "simultaneity" between far-away points; this means that the word "now" is not clearly defined!
Parallel Universes are a theory.
Parallel Universes - film - was created in 2001.
The cast of Parallel Universes - 2014 includes: Liran Nathan as Aden
Theoretically, there are infinite parallel universes in the multiverse, however it is not necessarily widely accepted that the multiverse exists.
No, not at this time.
Scientists admit that there may be as many as 27 'parallel universes' to our own. It is quite possible that there is not only an antimatter universe, but parallel universes to it.
The concept of parallel universes in the multiverse is theoretical and not quantifiable in terms of a specific number of dots. The idea of parallel universes suggests an infinite or unknown number of alternate realities existing alongside our own universe.

Parallel universes are hypothetical which means their existence is only a conjecture.

In theory there are a infinite parallel universes, one for each possibility.
