First off I’m a white male. Second, I’m not a racist. I was born lucky enough to have just enough strength and athleticism to be able to do some cool things when I was younger. Some of which still help me today.

I was, and still am, very strong. I was able to complete in powerlifting and advanced to State. I was also a pretty good football player. Not great, but good enough to gain a scholarship to play in college. The reason I’ve mentioned these two things is that my experiences while doing those things taught me a lot about myself as well as other athletes. Do not take what I’m going to say next the wrong way. I mean nothing disrespectful to whites or blacks, but we’re not the same. Science has proven it. While we are, I don’t know, 99.99999999% the same, we are still a little different.

If you‘ve ever seen a strong man competition, a powerlifting competition, or a swimming meet, you’ll notice one thing very quickly. It’s almost nothing but white guys. The reason is that we are just stronger. Our bodies are built differently than that of a black man, who has his own phenomenal skill set, but I’ll get to that later. White people have much more slow twitch fibers in out muscles which are advantageous for feats of strength. Our skeletal structure is different as well. In general we have wider rib cages, wider hips, longer torsos, and shorter limbs. All of these put together are advantageous for lifting extreme amounts of weight. With a wider base and shorter distance to ouch the weight, because of our shorter arms and legs, it also gives us an advantage. Not that there aren’t skinny white guys, but whites carry more visceral fat, in general, as well. On a personal note, I know that the more fat I carry, the stronger I am. I’m sure there’s science behind that as well. I mean just look at the world strongmen and the powerlifters setting world records. They are big boys.

Now for the other part of my story. Like I mentioned earlier, I played College Football. As far as strength goes, nothing changed. The white boys were still the strongest, but boy were we not the most athletic. When it comes to certain things like football, Basketball, and track, black athletes are leaps and bounds above white men. Now for science lesson two. Black athletes have far more fast twitch fibers in their muscles which help tremendously in speed and agility. They also are, again, built just a little differently than white men. Black men generally have wide shoulders but a much narrower rib cage and pelvis that white men do. They also have a shorter torso and longer legs and arms, which gives them not only a better center of gravity, but combining longer legs, and a smaller more flexible pelvis, in turn gives them an athletic advantage over their white brethren. You’re average black mans physique is far more impressive in general as well. Black men have the ability to gain muscle definition seemingly easy compared to white men for the simple fact that most don’t carry as much natural fat as whites do. This is one of the reasons that black men do very well in things such as body building also. The lack of body fat combined with the natural muscle definition makes these competitors aesthetically pleasing.

Most of what I’ve just said is scientific fact. I’m very interested in the human body and what it can do if pushed to and beyond it’s natural limits.

Also, before anyone gets it all twisted, we all either know, or have heard of, a white kid you went to school with that was the fastest kid around. I’ve seen a few myself. With that being said, during my powerlifting and football days, I’ve seen some freakishly strong black men. same thing goes for white guys that are built like Greek statues and black guys that might want to push away from the table if you know what I mean. I’m just talking in generalities.

The original question asked was if white men are stronger than black man and I will have to say absolutely, just in general. But I couldn’t just say that without expressing my feelings on the many physical attributes that black men posses as well. The human body is amazing and can do unbelievable things.

In closing, again I don’t want to imply that both whites and blacks are not both human beings. While we do have slight differences, the similarities completely out way them. One group is not better than the other. The small differences do make us unique though, and I like that. The world would be a pretty boring place if we were all identical because even the smallest differences are what make us special.

Whoever reads this, I hope you learned something that I think is pretty cool.

At the end of the day, even with tiny differences, we’re all just people. Not one group is better than the other. Remember that and you’ll live a much happier life.

I see white people dominate every sport where upper body strength is important. But if white people have more type I muscle fibers why would that make them stronger? Isn't type I fibers are endurance and not strength? Type II are strength as I understand

Chocolatelover32: There is no race or ethnic group that is overall stronger, people in all groups vary in their physical abilities. Humans tend to have the same general or average strength regardless of ethnic stereotypes.

Genetically white people are stronger, reason for this is the slow twitch fiber muscles which Europeans (white people) have a lot. This is the main reason why white people dominate in sports that require strength over speed like the WSM (world strongest man) competitions and swimming. It's one of the main reasons, Vikings, Saxons, Spartans and Celts are renowned as the strongest warriors on earth since ancient times.

Blacks (africans) have the fast twitch fiber muscles which is only good for sprinting and running and the main reason why you mostly see them in athletic running competitions.

So to answer you question in short, if you pick a member of each race with the same starting condition and let them endure the same physical training in terms of strength (e.g. Weightlifting) the white person will be stronger. however to the contrary africans do have on average have a higher metabolism, less fat and build muscle mass faster than other races including whites, and almost all of the events that whites seem to dominate blacks don't to participate in. blacks do honestly seem to dominate any sport they become involved in powerlifting mma boxing, anything physical. even when barely present they do seem to rise to the top of different activities they become actively involved in. Recent studies also show that africans do have more fast twicth and slow twitch muscles more on average than other races and tend to have denser bones as well. However this could just be American blacks because of slavery, sad but true. Constant hard work for centuries from an already physically gifted race does explain their physical advantages over other races.
