Well a blackberry is better for organizing data, reading emails, logistics and daily scheduling etc.... Smart phones are more into providing apps where you can play games, listen to music, camera, etc...... So to me a smart phone is not as good as a business phone.
I had a 5530 and it was good while it was in warranty. Paid £60 to repair a blank screen after 12 months, and it lasted about 2 months and same thing happened again. Have a blackberry now..best phone I have owned.
It is a thing of opinion as is the whole Blackberry vs iPhone debate. I would recommend iPhone: easier to use, enormous app store with many free apps, big screen and it is supposed to be very durable (it is hard to find out yourself). Unless she sends lots of texts and emails when the Blackberry comes in handy.
Both iPhone and Blackberry are great phones and for many it just comes to personal preference. iPhone is a great user friendly device with a lot of great apps. While Blackberry is great utility for e-mail, docs and web related items.

That depends on he plan that you get and the company that you go through. Just know what features you want on the phone, ie texting vs no texting amounts of minutes a month, internet on phone vs no internet on phone

sadly you cannot get the vs. seeker. Instead you get phone #'s and people will call you if they want to battle.
"Is there a way my blackberry 8830 can change (time zones) automatically? I tried both Blackberry and Network under the time/date settings." Unfortunately, no. Globally, there are many requests for this, but currently there is no resolution for this problem. The time on the BlackBerry is controlled by the network time AND the time zone selected. This is done primarly for one reason: the calendar. No setting (network vs blackberry vs none) will change this. This is not a "bug", but a feature, and has no chance of being changed any time soon.
