Whether the laws in California don't press seat belt laws wouldn't you think a person with any intelligence would care enough about their child to make sure they are strapped in by a seat belt? I've seen people go right through windshields and it's not a pretty sight! Buckle up and be safe! In British Columbia, Canada there is a fine if adults or children are not buckled up and they are heavy fines. How unintelligent people can be when buckling up means saving your life. I've been in four car accidents (only one was my fault) and the last one I was in was a 'head on' and without my seat belt I would have either been badly injured or gone through the windshield or out the back window of the vehicle. Once you get use to seat belts it's like breathing. You don't even notice it after awhile and should you forget for a few minutes you feel almost naked.
