YES if your eligable for the TUI program i think its called, you have to ask the college or your local job search centre or unemployment to send you the form, then you fill it out, your school fills it out and the job centre fills it out then you send or fax it to unemployment dept.
i am not sure if your unemployment will decrease but i know that you wont have to look for work while your attending college if the dept approves you which they will more than likely.
Regarding my home state, NC, you are able to maintain unemployment insurance and attend college simultaneously. However, you must search for work by weekly guidelines and be willing to accept work if a job you qualify for becomes available.
No. You must take the offered employment and continue your studies part time or by correspondence, or you will lose the unemployment benifit.
You could apply for study assistance instead,
In England a full time student is not able to claim benefits unless they are single parents or disabled
Disability benefits are received if you are unable to work. Unemployment is paid if you are able to work and actively searching for employment. These two definitions are contradictory, so you won't be able to legally collect disability benefits and unemployment.
Receiving unemployment benefits require that you are able, willing, and actively seeking full time employment which, if you were retiring, violates those requirements. Therefore the benefits would cease.
The length of employment and wages earned in that period determine the amount of weekly benefits you qualify for. Depending on the state, benefit pay outs generally range from 13 to 26 weeks, before any extensions, and that period is dependent on the weekly benefits. Each state has it's own criteria for these decisions.
"Yes as long as you have earned income from working and are still breathing you will continue to have to pay your self employment taxes on your net profit from your business operation." OK, so I will keep paying self employment tax when collecting full benefits ( I am 66). That is what I figured, but will my monthly SS payment increase since I am still paying into the system? Thanks.
I am 63 and collecting deceased widows benefits through Social Security. I have been recently been terminated from my employment. Can I collect both SS and unemployment?
You notify the unemployment commission, stop collecting benefits (unemployment is not an entitlement, it is something you receive as a benefit to help you get through a period when you are unemployed by no fault of your own), and move happily into your new position of employment.
Volunteers help any state and, as long as you comply with the state's requirements regarding receiving benefits (i.e. seeking full time employment actively, etc.), you would qualify.
Yes, as long as the state you're collecting benefits from was the "liable state" and you are conforming to that state's requirements for continuing to receive it's benefits.
