Grapes and raisins are very bad for cats and dogs. These fruits can send them into renal failure (even small amounts depending on the size of your pet) often resulting in death. The Humane Society of the United States, as well as vets will tell you never to feed your pets grapes or raisins. My vet also suggested avoiding raspberries, although she could not remember the reason why....I opted not to risk it. My cat loves fruit & fruit juices and needed to get more liquids in his diet to help with urinary problems. My vet suggested even making smoothies for him, giving him small amounts throughout the day. Apples (NO seeds), plums, Pears, and melon (especially cantaloup) are his favorites.

∙ 10y agoYes, the pure bred cats small commonly like bananas and the cross bred ones commonly smell like apples or pears.
Be careful on how you smell them as they are very delicate when someone sniffs them, if you arent cautious they may strike at you causing face wounds and blood.
