Best Answer
Snacks for the pigYou should feed your cavies romaine or Boston lettuce twice a day. Carrots only once because they have a high sugar content. Use only one baby carrot per pig. Iceberg lettuce is not recommended because of its high water content.

Yes, guinea pigs can eat pineapples and asparagus. But they may not likeit. Some guinea pigs may not want to eat sour pineapples. And some may not like the crunch of celery. But it is edible to them.

tomatos yes apples ?

apples i gave my guinea pigs and they are OK now i gave them an Apple a long time ago and they seem to be fine so think that it is OK for guinea pigs to eat apples not sure bout tomato's but be wary OK watch them if you feed them it and make sure that they react OK with the food you buy them.

one slice keep the skin of the apple give weekly and get rid of the core and the pips from the apple be careful as there is sugar in this and may cause illnesses if they have to much and be careful of the acidic bits IN the apple as this can make the mouth sores hope this helps a little thank you

When feeding apples to your piggies, makes sure that when you "core" your apple that you remove ALL of the seeds as they are dangerous & can kill your little friend! The answer above is correct in that apples are high in sugar - not great for your piggy's health. You want to leave the skin on the apple as it is good for their teeth. GP teeth are constantly growing & need to chew on harder substances like the rind of different fruits & veggies, as well as hay, alfalfa & grasses as well as sticks if you can find them. (One company makes an apple stick as a treat - can't remember which one.) I even put the cores from toilet paper in the cage from time to time for them to play with/chew on.

Yes, guinea pigs can eat most foods, whether it's good for them or not is a different question. However they can healthily eat pineapple. Watch out for buttercups and chocolate.
