Can someone who is not good in arts but has an interest in fashion designing go for fashion designing?

As long as you are creative and have a good imagination! -------- It depends on how much genuine interest you have in the field.If you spend a lot of time looking at different types of clothing and can draw and sew on a basic level that's a good start. It is a competitive industry and you really have to have something to bring to the table.Creativity is a must. Drawing and sewing and other skills can be learned in most cases.I suggest you think it over talk to a guidance counselor in an art school like AI or another art school and get a general opinion form people that know you better. If after this you still feel like pursuing fashion design by all means do so.You can do almost anything you put your mind to.
As the previous people answered, creativity is a huge part of fashion design. Even if you are not as skilled in the art aspect of design, you can still go to school to hone that ability. You can learn things like color, pattern, etc. Also, if you just like the fashion aspect, but not so much the art it takes to create it, you can pursue a career in fashion merchandising. You basically get paid to shop. You're the person who decides what fabrics to buy, who to buy them from, when they'll be sold and where. :) yes you can , keeping the above s in mind .. there are some good colleges in India and one of them is Whistling Woods International ,
