Bruce Lee (no, not the actor) in his book "Marching Orders" about the impact of Ultra and Magic radio intercepts/decodings on the course of the war, wrote that at one time (1962/1963) the U.S. Army and captured German archives (such as the Americans had) from WW II were in Alexandria, Virginia and occupied an estimated 14 acres, on racks that were in some places 30 feet high. Later these records were distributed to different research centers around the world. During his research (at the time for the book "The Last Battle," Lee and two assistants reviewed an estimated 1.4 million pages of official American and German records. Luckily he was allowed to copy much of what he reviewed. He says that when the records were distributed many documents were "lost." These were actual unit records, the daily reports, written orders, copies of radio / telegraph messages. This doesn't really answer your question about current locations.
