that make any sense at all. I was approved to go back to school I picked a program in the WIA program, was approved have my voucher started school. Then didn't receive my unemployment check I called unemployment and they told me because I started school a judicature officer will have to contact me to see if I still can collect unemployment. No where on the WIA website does it say sign up for school and we stop your unemployment, matter of fact when you are on hold forever trying to talk to someone on unemployment there is a recording regarding WIA and going back to school.. my question to the GOV Charlie Crist is how are we supposed to even go to school if we have no gas money to get there or we can't pay our rent electric how can they stop my unemployment,, No one can answer this question. I was in ST Pete times page 6, Sept 16th they did an article I was in the article. I have had ABC action news call Tallahassee regarding this, another editor is also monitoring this issue,, being penalized for going back to school under a gov grant for the unemployed, , and also when you go to unemployment website also takes you to the WIA program,, this WIA program is great if it works together with unemployment. One more thing when you sign up for WIA you sign a contract and how can you fill that contract and go to school if you have no money to pay for gas to get there,,,, this makes no sense I am waiting for a call back from Gov Charlie Crist office for someone there to give me answers but no comply yet.. I have written to 20 different official offices for help regarding this, it is the media that is also trying to find out and help me.. It will take 4 yo 6 weeks for a judicature to call me from unemployment, this whole thing is a big joke, no body cares, you are set up to fail before you even start.. why give me a WIA grant then cut off unemployment, I am a single mother of 2 children not a dime of child support now no unemployment, was laid off after 8 years and 7 months with a company,, no one can justify why unemployment does this I was told these are the rules..
To collect unemployment benefits, contact your local state employment security office, or its equivalent, to file your claim. The Social Security application needs to be through the local Social Security Administration's office, information can be found online.
No. If you are employed, you may not get unemployment compensation.
If you already receive unemployment benefits, you only need to notify the unemployment office about change of address. If you are quitting your job, through no fault of your employer, then it would be considered a voluntary quit and you would not be eligible for unemployment.
Strictly speaking, no. If you haven't worked and become eligible for benefits from North Carolina, you can only receive them from California, providing you were eligible back there. What you can do, however, again if you had qualified, is to apply through the North Carolina office to receive them from the "liable state" (CA) through the interstate unemployment program.
Yes you can, but they don't pay anyway. The only way you can collect unemployment if you had a full time position and lost it (no fault of your own). You can't collect if you decided to work through an agency. They are temp work only. There is no guarantee that they will find you work every time you finish "a job" and is on their waiting list. You have to report your wages anyway. So, probably not.
In North Carolina, you can generally only collect unemployment benefits if you are terminated through no fault of your own. If you are fired, most of the time you cannot collect unemployment benefits.
I am 63 and collecting deceased widows benefits through Social Security. I have been recently been terminated from my employment. Can I collect both SS and unemployment?
It depends on the state laws where you work.
To draw unemployment you have to lose your job through no fault of your own. That means you cannot collect unemployment if you quit your job or get fired. However for example you get laid off then yes you can draw unemployment.
You can receive AED & CPR training through your local Red Cross programs. You can also receive the training through other services such as the Mid-America Regional Council.
I live in michigan ,work in ohio where do i file for unemployment?
Among many reasons Texas will allow you to collect unemployment is if you were fired through no work related faults of your own (i.e. misconduct, thievery, violation of company policy, etc.). See the Related Link below for more details.
