There's going to be more to it than that, truck frames are intended to have some flex between the cab and the bed, so you would have to add some more reinforcement there. And legally if you modify the frame you ought not sell the vehicle, just because doing so voids the factory warranty, so in the event of a collision you take full responsibility of the durability of the frame to withstand impact. Just something to be aware of. With that said I'm planning on doing the same, making the GMC equivalent of the Ford Excursion out of a one ton dually. Installing the interior creature comforts and running climate control, lighting, speakers, and whatever else you want back there will be the real money pit for you. And something else to keep in mind, the bed of the truck is not flat, making mounting things back there a bit more awkward, and the frame of the truck does not exactly lend itself to fold flat SUV seats. If you;re going for a full blown SUV conversion you'll have a bit of work ahead of you, or you can pay someone like Centurion to do it for you. Another option would be dropping a different engine in an SUV, like Duraburb does. There is a company that does the same with Ford vehicles, in southern Florida. Look around some more and decide what route you want to go.
what are you, a redneck?????
truck's
Considering the Silverado has a 6 lug rim and the S10 has a 5 lug rim, it would be an expensive project to convert the 5 lug S10 into the 6 lug pattern of the Silverado.
Let me know the type of heads you are putting on the 302 and if they are 2V or 4V heads and if possible what type of vehicle was this 302 originally in. Spark plug gap for my 2V truck is .044
No, Amelia Earhart was a pilot, not a truck driver.
A pickup truck has a shell in the back. This shell is an opening in which stuff can be stored; such as motor vehicles, tools etc. Pickup trucks are good for people who need the extra space.
That 87 truck already has a carburetor on it.
They are made for just about all.
As far as what i have researched, truck topper is a nickname for a top hat or a name for a pencil sharpener in Ireland or another term for a camper shell. A camper shell is a small housing mounted atop the rear bed of a pick up truck.
