No. Being pregnant/having a child does not emancipate a person. Until the age of 18, one is a minor and their parents have the authority to decide where the minor can/can't live. If you leave home without your parents' permission, then you are considered to be a runaway and your parents can have you picked up by the authorities and returned home. Under Michigan law, your boyfriend could be, and likely would be, charged with harboring a runaway (punishable by up to 1 year in jail), and possibly other charges as well along the lines of interference with child custody. Michigan does allow persons 16 and older to petition the court for emancipation. In order for emancipation to be granted you would have to prove, among other things, that you are capable of fully supporting yourself and your child (rent, utilities, food, etc) *without any assistance* (note: they would likely consider child support to be legitimate income and not a form of assistance). Although Michigan statue does not state so, most judges would also require that you remain in school. Your parents would be notified of the hearing and they would be allowed to contest the emancipation. You would have to prove to the court that it's truly in your best interest to live on your own. That's not always an easy thing to do, and you would have to have legitimate, valid reasons. Just not getting along with your parents or wanting more freedom is not going to be enough. Please note that the purpose of emancipation is to allow a mature teenager to live *on their own* No judge is going to emancipate a teenager for the purpose of living with her boyfriend.
