If you choose to kill (terminate with extreme prejudice) the mouse, then you could open it up with a scalpel, gut it and put the bluetooth unit, optical unit and batteries inside (leaving the laser light emitter poking out the bottom of course. You probably want to stuff it with something like cotton balls to fill out the mouse and make it more comfortable to your hand.
