Can't say for a fact yes, but I am on amoxicillin for an infected c-section incision and was also given Celebrex for gallbladder attacks which is in the same drug group as ibuprofen (both non-steroid anti-inflammatory). Best thing is to ask a Dr. though as using both could increase the risk of gastrointestinal reactions.
Obviously you should always confirm with your doctor, dentist, pharmacist first. Under normal circumstances Ibuprofen shouldn't be a problem, since it is not a blood thinner (as is acetomenophine). The problem researchers, scientists and doctors have tried to fight throughout the years is how to keep penicillin in your blood stream as long as possible. Penicillin V potassium doesn't get urinated as easily as its predecessors, hence the common twice a day dose. Anything that would be considered a diuretic might also negativley affect penicillin, such as caffeine and alcohol, by increasing urination.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong. ;-)
actually, ibuprofen is the blood thinner and acetaminophen is not.
yes they usually are given together like for a tooth infection you would get penecillin to fight infection and ibuprofen to reduce swelling cuz like my dad his cheek was puffy when he had infection. but he got vicaprofin which is a narcotic pain killer with 5mg hydrocodeine and 200mg ibuprofin
Yes these medications are commonly prescribed together with the penicillin treating the bacterial infection and the Advil helping to reduce fever.
Normally yes, the two drugs should not interact.
No, It isn't okay to take ibuprofen and penicillin together because last time i did i broke out into a big rash. So i wouldn't
yes but your head willl explode
yes
Advil contains ibuprofen, and does NOT contain any penicillin.
No; there is no penicillin in ibuprofen.
Yes. Penicillin and sulfa drugs are antibiotics, and are not related to the ibuprofen drug group at all.
Hi, i was told by my doctor that ibuprofen was fine to take with with my flucloxacillin.
Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory medication yes.
Paracetamol is ok to take with ibuprofen. When i was in hospital i had 2 lots of each.
You should not drink while taking Ibuprofen. It can cause acids that damage the liver. However, a few light drinks should be fine. Just don't get totally wasted.
No, definitely not ok to take.
Yes, it should be ok. Hydromorphone is a type of opioid, which do not interact with ibuprofen. It should be safe to take in addition to the Hydromorphone as long as you stick to recommended doses.
yes
1928-1944 it took a while
