You can use the existing floor drain lines most likely you will have to cut the drain line or add to it to line up with the hole in the shower. tubs have drains on one end while most showers have it in the middle.

There may not be a trap in the line on the toilet drain. The stool acts as the trap keeping sewer gas from coming up. If there is access to the drain from below then a trap could be installed.

YES---If you have a two inch drain pipe on your tub. A tub/ shower drain should be 2" in diameter. A shower drain is 2" in diameter. If you have a 1 1/2" tub drain you g to where it ties into your 3" line and cut out the fitting it attaches to add a new fitting for 2" pipe and replumb back to your tub and tie in the shower drain then.

If the tub has a shower as well, the pipe from the faucet to the shower head could be leaking. You might also check the tube that comes OUT and fills the tub. It could be leaking back at the valve when you turn on the water.
