Not necessarily. If you got your period, then it is unlikely that you are pregnant. If you had unprotected sex before your period was supposed to come, maybe something could have happened then. Sometimes when I'm late, i end up with blood clots, just because the blood has been waiting for so long to come out, that it built up inside me. Maybe that's the case here! If it happens again next month then you should check with our doctor just in case! !

Some of my family has said that they have had a very heavy period the first month that they were pregnant. If you think you are pregnant you should take a hpt or go to the doctors office and have a pregnancy test. I am having the same issue and 3 hpts have shown positive. I am crossing my fingers.

I have no real medical training or anything, but I had a misscariage in December and I would answer a resounding YES, you could definitely be having a misscariage!!! I would recommend you contact your doctor as my baby died a possible 2 weeks before I started to miscarry (they did an ultrasound after the baby died, but before I had miscarried him/her because I was bleeding and thought maybe I was miscarrying) and they ended up doing a D&C to clean everything out because I was in a good amount of pain...and they wanted to make sure it was all out so I wouldn't get infected or whatever. D&C's have a slight chance of leaving scaring, etc. which can make it more difficult to be pregnant later, but I made sure my doctor knew I'd probably want to have more kids and she said she'd be very careful (they have to scrape the uteras to remove all the pregnancy stuff). Also, my doctor recommended I wait 2 or 3 months to get pregnant again because if you get pregnant again right away it can increase your chances of having another misscariage!I'll pray for you! May God bless you!

It's very possible, but there is no way to prove it unless you had a positive pregnancy test. about 30% of pregnancies end very early, most of the time the woman doesn't even know about it. So.. it's possible.. or it just could have been a heavy period, there is no way to really know for sure. ~pawsalmighty

Bleeding in ealy pregnancy is not always a bad sign. Many people do 'spot' in ealy pregnancy, whether it be browny spotting or red/dark red blood, and this can be natural. However if your bleeding is worryingly heavy, passing clots or liver like material or you also are having lower abdominal cramping I would see your GP as soon as possible or call NHS hotline. Good luck.

Its difficult to say. The only way to be certain is by doing a pregnancy test now while your still bleeding. Or put the clots in a jar and take to your doctors to be analysed so you will know for sure hun. You may be experiencing break through bleeding or irregular period. But please do a test and take the clots to your doctor.

If you had unprotected sex around the time you ovulated you could have conceived. If there was a problem in fetal development, most likely the pregnancy would have ended in a miscarriage. The earlier in the pregnancy the miscarriage happens the more likely your uterus will completely dispel all of the tissue. Anywhere from 10-25% of all pregnancies will end in miscarriage.

Your description sounds exactly like the symptoms of miscarriage, the pain is usually worse than menstrual cramps, and often starts in a back ache. Some women go through the whole event without realizing a pregnancy or miscarriage has happened, only finding out if some other reason takes them to their doctor, while others who never have cramps or a heavy flow, find the pain to be severe.

The cause of most miscarriages is never known, but the earlier it occurs the more likely it was caused by a chromosome abnormality. In young healthy women this most likely happens at the time that the zygote went through the division process. it was not caused by something you did wrong.

If you are planning to conceive you should refrain from drinking and smoking, eat a healthy diet that is low in caffeine and high in zinc.

More than likely if the pregnancy came back negative then you were not pregnant but in some cases a woman's body can reject the baby in the first trimester usually before she knows she pregnant because of some chromosomal defects. This is no indication that you were pregnant, miscarried, or are not pregnant. Over the counter pregnancy tests are good for telling if you are pregnant, but are not so reliable for telling if you are not--that is they can show a false negative. Your best course of action would be to see your doctor. If for nothing else than to set your mind at ease.

I am sorry, I doubt you are pregnant. You may have been pregnant and had a very early miscarriage but if you have now stopped bleeding I don't suppose you will ever know.
