It has not personally happened to me, but it has happened to a couple of my friends. It's basically simple ... you respect and are honest with your partner and communicate well and if one chooses not too then they can't expect much from the relationship. It takes two! The other quote is: 'The head of the snake will turn around and bite you in the butt.' This means that if someone were to cheat on their mate somewhere along the way that person will pay for their mistake. They will either be deserted by the person they are having an affair with (or used by that person) or they know they've made a mistake and when they try going back to the very person they loved in the first place their partner wants nothing to do with them and the cheater has paid a dear price. There are always consequences to what we do wrong whether it's love or in any other category of life.

I would say DON'T! If you are a teacher, its not morally right to abuse a minor for your own gratification "like that". If you are a student, what makes you think you can't have a normal and healthy relationship with someone of your own age? Why put your teacher's, family's, school's and foremost, your own name, to shame? Whatever decision you take, WILL DECIDE the future of yourself AND everyone's around you. NO if someone really loved you they would NEVER get tired of being w/h you. On the other hand, abscence makes the heart grow stronger That depends on the reason for the break - if it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with you or your relationship and he needs a break for his own personal reasons to sort things out then yes he still could love you but may not want to drag you along or get you involved in whatever that needs to be dealt with. He could also just be saying what he thinks you want to here to try and let you down easy as to not hurt you but get out of the relationship. It is best to not wait around for him.
Should you get back with your x?
most likely not. if you broke up, for whatever reason, something in the relationship was not good. and if you get back with your ex, everything wrong that happened the first go-around will happen again.

Watch how this person acts around you. Watch for certain emotions and ways of talking. Watch how this person moves, and how this persons personality is like around you. Compare his/her personality how they act around you to how they act around another person.
Why does your husband base your relationship on other people relationships?
Some people feel a need to know exactly how things are going to play out in their life, or have a marker for examples in their life. To have this, they take other people's experiences, life, relationships, decisions, etc. and apply it to themselves and/or others around them. It can make for the predictions to feel more concrete and founded to them since it's [whatever action] has happened to someone, or it can make them feel like they aren't alone in whatever the case may be.
