Junk foods are those foods that have no nutritional value and cause rotten teeth and stuff. Like candy bars, potato chips, M&M's, lollipops, etc.

Fast foods are foods like McDonalds, Taco Bell, Jack in the Box, Wendys, etc. which can lead to depression, mood swings and obesity if you eat nothing but that for an entire month

  • Junk food often contains little nutritional value. It can fail to provide what your bodies needs to carry out daily tasks and to maintain health, wellness and a sense of well physical and mental well being.
  • Junk food can lead to weight gain, obesity and (if you have a predisposition) it can be related to such things as as Heart disease, cancer, osteoporosis, Arthritis, Diabetes, etc.
  • Unhealthy food has a much higher energy density than it has a nutrient density. Likewise healthier food has a higher nutrient density than a energy density. To calculate the energy density ,divide the energy amount in the serving of food (say a chocolate bar which has 1200 kJ) by the mass of the chocolate bar.(Say it was 50 grams) Gives a energy density of 24. To work out the nutrient density for a specific nutrient in the chocolate bar (say we use calsium as the nutrient and the chocolate bar contains 30 mg of calsium) and divide it by the mass (30 divided by 50 grams) equals a nutrient density of 0.6 which is much lower than the energy density. When looking at this example, it is clear that foods lower in energy and higher in nutrients (but also fibre) are healthier choices.

The Difference is that :

- Junk food would make u fat, while healthy food would not !

- Healthy food are nutritious but junk food are not

i think healthy food is like fruit and veg and stuff, but junk food is kind of crisps, chocolate, chips, sweets, blah blah blah.... ok basically junk food taste better and apples suck

i truly believe the most healthy food is anything GOD HIMSELF created to be food/drink. i also acknowledge, that a budget doesn't always allow for limiting our food purchase to ONLY these foods and/or GROWING/RAISING these foods. what has worked for me? NOTHING IN EXCESS. guaranteed this will stand true to ANYTHING you put into your body, good or bad.
