They can be. If you get your dachshund at a young age and be careful with not mistreating it, they will be more calm when they're grown up. My friend has a dachshund that was mistreated and its cranky all the time and will bite you. Dachshunds will get more excersize if they have another dog to play with, prefferably another dachshund.
Not really...they're more for old, lonely people with nothing to do, dog shows, etc...UNLESS you train them to be! I saw a homeless person with his dachshund and the cute doggy was carrying some things on his back. Sort of like a mule,ya know?

Dachshunds can make excellent pets, but not for very small children. Dachshunds usually prefer a quiet life as they do not have much energy and their short legs mean that they cannot keep up with a running child. Dachshunds are full of character and make surprisingly good guard dogs, but they will not tolerate small children who will not respect them. If you want a family dog that will fit in with a more busy and active life with children, consider rescuing a Labrador Retriever or Staffordshire Bull Terrier - there are literally thousands needing homes.
It all depends on what kind of Dacshund it is and how it is trained but in general yes because they are small and have sharp teeth, just because somthing is small doesnt make it weak.
Yes, hounds are dogs that hunt. And Dachshunds were meant to hunt boar, bear, and others when they discovered Dachshunds in Germany.
Barking. Dachshunds are notorious for their excessive barking, but with lots of patience and dedication, you can teach your dachshund to do any thing! Within reason that is.
Yes
Dachshunds are dogs. Dogs have memories. Yes. Yes. Just like everything else.
Dachshunds are adorable. Long skinny short hot dog dogs :)
beagles are smarter dachshunds
Dachshunds don't have webbed feet as they weren't originally bred as water dogs.
Dachshunds
Because dachshunds have long bodies like frankfurters. They are adorably cute!!!!! I love my dachshunds! And because they have nothing better to do....
The spelling for the name that dachshunds are often called is spelled "weiner dogs".
A dachshund can be used as a service dog, only it may be difficult to train it because dachshunds are very stubborn.
hello dachshunds Chihuahuas and puggles are my fav dogs
The dog breeds are dachshund (wiener dogs) and Chihuahua (small dogs named for a state in Mexico). Miniature dachshunds are a separate breed, but many mixed dachshunds and Chihuahuas have a similar appearance.
Dogs are pack animals naturally, coming from their ancient wolf ancestors. I do not think that dachshunds have a much different behavoir, but I have noticed my dachshunds seems to like other dachshunds better than other breeds. If fact, the standard dachshund were breed to hunt in packs. Therefore, they are very content if they have other dogs to bond with. Since the miniature dachshund is derived from the standard, they also have the same temperament. They love to have other dogs around to bond with.
Yes. All dogs have. That is, if you enroll them on the medical care.
