No, don't worry it will grow back with in a year, maybe more, but I would try to make sure is doesn't happen again, Most lizards have the ability of losing their tails to get away from their predators
When a leopard gecko is in distress, grabbed by the tail, having the tail stuck and forced to release it, the tails are fragile and can very easily be lost. If this happens, the leopard gecko has the ability to regenerate a new tail. This newer tail is usually not the exact same shape or size as a "original tail". (Original tails on geckos are looked at in most cases, to be a higher valued animal.) During the period that your leopard gecko is growing another tail, it is important to ensure the animal is receiving proper nutrition. This includes: feeding appropriate feeders, gut loading feeders, coating feeders in calcium and ensuring the animal is being fed 3 - 4 times a week.
Some types of geckos can loose their tails. For example leopard geckos loose their tails, but they grow back. any gecko can make their tale fall of as a defense against predators so never pick it up by its tail
IF YOUR LEOPARD GECKO HAS A SKINNY TAIL, THAT MEANS IT IS SICK AND MUST ME TAKEN TO A VET ASAP. If it is small in length, that means that it was being attacked and bitten in the tail, so to make a quick get away, they snap off their tail and run away. If its tail is small like that, it is simply growing back.
Yes, leopard geckos do grow their tails back. It would probably take a couple of months, and the tail would be smaller and less impressive than the original.
Yes, i know they can.
yes but more round or misshapen
Yes you should feed your Leopard Gecko wax worms if hes getting to skinny. However, you shouldn't always feed it as his main food. They can get obeyed and be addicted to wax worms. This is bad. So, only feed your Leopard Gecko 3 times a day, in the morning, in the evening, and in the night. If your Leopard Gecko refuses to eat it store the wax worm back into its container.
It's more than likely ground up cricket exo skeleton, if your feeding your leopard gecko crickets, than this is a good sign that everything is being digested properly.
YES! Leopard geckos do not naturally live on sand and when they eat their food they lunge at it, eating some sand accidentally. This causes problems in the stomach which can lead to your leopard gecko dying.
Well it really depends on how bad the injury's are. If you're worried about the health of your gecko, it is best to take it to the vets right away! From my experience, the only gecko I have had was attacked by a cat, had died.
Possibly. Unless they dont seem to fight and they are able to live in the same kind at habitat then possibly yes. Be cautious though!
YOU GAVE YOUR GECKO SALT? did it die all ready? i just caught a gecko! i swear and its tail fell off it u dont believe me go on facebook and serch for pam mak
YES IT WILL ! NEVER feed a reptile on food that is NOT part of their natural diet ! Apart from the fact that they would NEVER eat cheese in their normal life - cheese is full of FAT - which is just as bad for a gecko as it is for humans !
To the tune of the cancan: Gecko gecko gecko gecko etc. then somewhere in the middle there's random facts about geckos. Sorry it's bad
I put a baby crawfish in my geckos tank and he's yet to eat it. Ide say its a bad idea because there crab - crustacean might hurt ur gecko.
My dog loses a whisker ALL the time, so, its not bad.
yes very very bad
Cardboard probably can't be used for the bottom of their tank because you need to keep it clean from their droppings and urine which is kinda wet sometimes (their urine is hard) and then the cardboard won't be clean and will smell bad.
