The actual definition of transgender is indentifying with a gender other then the biological one. Meaning you believe that you are a the opposite sex. So if you really think about it no. Transgenders are born in the wrong bodies meaning also that they are born with the wrong organs.

∙ 10y agoNo, transgender people are gender variant. It is people born with transsexualism who are not transgendered who have the wrong parts.
On the other hand, transsexual people are individuals whose birth sex does not match up with their mental gender and neurology of birth. This usually leads to them going as far as surgery to correct this, effectively changing the wrong parts. That makes them gender conformists. Transgendered persons are gender variant instead and their inner natures are not fully at odds with their bodies.
Please keep in mind that men don't get surgery to "become" women, but that non-LGBT women born with a birth defect of the wrong parts simply get surgery to obtain the correct parts. In other words, it is the fact that they already are women that drive them to get the surgery. It is not a lifestyle, not a choice, and not the same thing as being transgendered. In fact, a number of people born with transsexualism oppose recreational transgenderism and condemn it as harmful to their goals and rights. Maybe that is not the best reaction, but people need to see the differences between the two communities and see them as unique groups.
