Should you glue your toilet closet flange to your pipe?

No, it is not recommended to glue the toilet closet flange to the pipe. The flange should be secured to the floor using bolts or screws, and the toilet is then secured to the flange using wax rings or sealing gaskets. Gluing the flange to the pipe can make it difficult to remove or replace the toilet in the future.

What if a toilet flange will not fit in the drain pipe?

The easiest solution would be to move the toilet so that it lines up with the waste pipe.

What size hole is needed for a toilet flange?

At least 3 in. drain pipe

You are working with a 3 inch PVC drain pipe and a 3 inch PVC flange and there is too much play as you insert the flange into the drain pipe?

Probably the wrong size flange. Is the flange a toilet collar? If so the pipe is probably 4 inch.

What tool should be used to square a flange on a piece of pipe?

Square a flange? Lol there is many hundereds of types of flanges so I don't know what flange you are talking about. If its a toilet flange and you want the toilet bolt holes equal to the wall (if its PVC or abs) just use a big pair of pliers or pipe wrench to turn it soon after you glue your flange.

Why is the toilet not sataying in place?

When installing a closet flange to a drain pipe in a concrete floor is there any problem with filling gap around pipe with cement and bolting brass flange to cement rather than attaching to drain pipe?

The bolts that come from the drain and run to to toilet help to alaign proper drainage and seal the toilet. You do not want to do the bolts set in cement idea...

To what is a toilet mounted?

Can you remove a toilet and floor over drain?

The toilet flange is usually above the floor level. You would have to cut it off the drain pipe and cap it. How you do this depends on what type of pipe the drain is made of. Even if the drain should be below the floor level, you have to seal the drain or sewer gas will come up from the drain.

How do you remove a toilet flange?

if it is a PVC flange glued on to the outside of 3" PVC pipe, there is a tool available that will cut it off and you can glue a new flange on the undamaged pipe. It's called a Flange-off. Available at Locke plumbing supply.

How do you fill a toilet drain not in use?

You can't fill a toilet drain not in use as there is no 'trap' to fill with water. The best thing is to get a toilet flange cover from a plumbing store and install it on the toilet flange - i.e. the circular fitting in the floor that the toilet would normally sit on.By simple pouring a few gallons of cold water to replenish the trap seal of the fixture .. check it every few weeks to make sure there is still water above the crown weir
