April 6th (Northern America ... rest of world is July 1st) is Tartan Day ... the celebration of Scotland gaining their independence again back in 1320 by signing a declaration ... I know because its my Birthday and I found the meaning of the date by searching April 6th on Wikipedia lol ...
Also ... There are MANY places that hold the annual Highland Festivals ... they have displays for many different clans, food, Bagpipes and bands, Celtic dancing, and OF COURSE, the games from Scotland ... In Fergus, Ontario, Canada, they have one of the largest Highland Festivals every August, and competitors actually travel FROM Scotland for it ... its INCREDIBLE!
