Fleas themselves do not cause hair-loss. Rather, if the cat is infested, its continued scratching is the most likely culprit. If the hair-loss is extreme, however, another cause might be sarcoptic mange. In addition, there are several dermatological afflictions that can cause hair loss. Your veterinarian can tell you if your pet is simply flea-bitten or suffering from a more serious condition.
its mainly an opinion, but cats with no hair don't shed and cats with hair usually do.
Yes
Not sure about worms, but it is a sign of fleas.
Yes they can, they can go on the skin too. Usually you can see the fleas jumping around.
Fleas can indeed infest short-haired dogs. Fleas can live on dogs of any hair length or hair color. They can also infest many other types of animals, including cats, ferrets, rabbits, and rodents. Fleas are external parasites that bite and feed on the blood of animals. They are also capable of biting and feeding off of the blood of people. These parasites are problematic because they can cause a variety of illnesses for both animals and people. Many animals are allergic to fleas and the resulting skin disease can be painful for them. In addition, fleas can cause localized areas of hair loss, inflammation and scabs known as "hot spots". Tapeworms can be carried by fleas and passed to animals that become infested with fleas. Fleas also play a pivotal role in the transmission of diseases such as plague and cat scratch disease.
wash your hair with dawn dish soap! the fleas drown in it!
no
Yes short hair dogs do get fleas they can stick to the dog in many ways
Wash your hair!
It could be a number of things but most obvious sounds like some sort of skin irritation. Possibly fleas (should be easy to spot), some cats can be allergic to fleas which makes the infestation and itching worse. Or possibly mites such as Notoedres cati or Cheyletiella. It could also possibly be lice (you would usually be able see these if you look closely). Take your cat to the vets - they can do skin scrapings to find the cause (if it is a skin problem). Or advise you if there are any underlying conditions causing the skin irritation.
OK ...... Fleas don't like human hair because it isn't warm enough so the will only stay in your hair if they desprate if you have fleas then get a fine hairbrush (close toothed brush) and you must comb you hair thurely and the fine brush wil push them out and make sure you do it over a bason of warm or cold water for the fleas to fall in so the don't jump back Hope this helps Ericococ
Yes Cats can get Lice. However it is not the same type as lice as humans get. Cats will not contract human lice, and we will never have the cat lice Felicola subrostrata. It's species specific, meaning it only effects the certain species it likes. Don't belive look it up somewhere else
