renewable energy is energy which comes from Natural Resources such as sunlight, rain, tides, and geothermal heat, which are renewable 2008 ,about 19%of global energy consumtion came from renewables with 13% coming from traditional biomass
Non-renewable:
Renewable:
Alternatives
Nuclear is unique in that while we call it nonrenewable, we can not run out during the existence of this planet. Thus it receives two headings. Sunshine, wind and wave all have no replenishment by man so are technically alternative energy sources as we are unable to renew them. Sunshine is similar to nuclear, in that it will eventually run out, but not during this planets existence.
All fuel sources used by humankind are, technically speaking, renewable. Petroleum, or fossil fuels (so called because they are made of decayed bio-matter), are renewable but not currently at a pace that would even come close to the demand for them. The same is true for coal. Because of this, many in political circles incorrectly name them "non-renewable". Where as solar, wind and geothermal energies are called "renewable" although humankind does nothing to "renew" them. The point is that there is so much energy available from the sun alone that if there were a way for humans to harness 90% of the solar energy that shines on the earth for 5 minutes each day then there would be enough energy to power the entire world's energy demands more than 3 times over for that entire 24 hour period. The hard part is finding a way to harness all of that energy.
Renewable: Solar hot water. The sun keeps coming back and heating the water. Renewable energy (solar, wind, water, hydro, tidal and wave, geothermal, ocean thermal, biomass, biofuel and hydrogen).
Non-renewable: Coal. We burn the coal to make electricity. We can only burn it once and it is finished.
Fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas).
Renewable:this is energy you can re-use! You will never run out of this sort of energy!

Non Renewable: this is energy that you cannot re-use and eventually the world will run out of this energy!

Non-renewable energy is that which is derived from coal, oil, natural gas, and nuclear sources. Renewable energy are solar energy, wind, water, and those from geothermal sources.

Non renewable.
Renewable and nonrenewable both give off energy needed for the planet.
