Well, of course they baked! They baked pies, cakes, breads. All sorts of things! They mostly used a dutch oven to bake.
Um... I don't really think there is a certain age you have to be. I'm only 18 and I love to bake. I have since I was really young. Just make sure your careful and you read the ingredients well. Good luck!
