The band Pylon originates from Athens, Georgia, where all 4 members of the band attended the University of Georgia. Guitarist Randall Bewley and bass guitarist Micheal Lachowski started playing together and trying to form a band in 1978. They practiced in a downtown studio that they rented from Curtis Crowe, who would soon became their drummer. In February of 1979 they held auditions for a singer this is when Vanessa Brisco joined the group. In 1983 the band decided that they were no longer having fun and decided to breakup.
