William Shakespeare changed the world. He had great contributions to this world, he invented 1700 common used words in the English language, he was one of the worlds greatest playwrights. he also influenced and played a part in the renaissance.
he gave the world many pieces of liturature that are still studied, read, and analyzed today. He gave us all a new way of thinking, and showed that no matter how long ago you lived, you can still be remembered in a positive way.
Shakespeare lived at a time when there was an official religion, and anyone who spoke out against it was liable to be tortured and killed. Therefore, if Shakespeare believed anything other than the official line, he very sensibly kept his mouth shut about it.
It was very similar to the way it is now, although continental drift has had an effect, there is more carbon dioxide in the air and the ozone layer is thinner. People lived in most of the places they live in nowadays, although there was hardly anyone in North America north of the Rio Grande, and there was nobody in Australia except the aborigines. Generally speaking, there were a lot fewer people in the world, even in densely populated areas like Europe, India and China.
He didn't, really, although Harold Bloom, the most well-known nineteenth century critic writing in the twenty-first century, seems to think so. If you want an argument about how he did so, read Professor Bloom's book, "Shakespeare: The Invention of the Human". However, the argument that Shakespeare was reflecting some of the changing attitudes in the turbulent era in which he lived, rather than creating them himself, makes a lot more sense.
Shakespeare saw the world in a much different way than most people. He was very creative and saw the possibilities in the world even though he struggled with his own life.
Shakespeare was inspired by the world around him...love, sex, violence, jealosy, hatred, sorrow, etc. Hamlet (composed in 1600) might have been thought of because of his son Hamnet's death.
