Women became an "equal" into society, since war brought a surge of economic growth in Canada, they contributed in the war efforts such as industries and "non-essentail" jobs, ( before the war the non essential jobs were made for men)
In September 1942, all women aged 20-24 were required or rather encouraged to work. By 1943 there were 261 000 women involved in war production. Women also drove buses, delivered mail and many other jobs that were considered for men only.
women took on a whole new life during ww2. They were actually allowed to work in production lines, building weapons and stuff needed for the soldiers. They were the ones doing all the Propaganda ads. Ideally, woman's standards were raised so high that its because of them we survived the war. They were nurses, carpenters, soldiers etc. They were never allowed to do these thngs before.
Women's civil rights greatly improved during World War II. This was due to the fact that the men were off fighting, so women had to fill the gaps in the workplace, and had to maintain things here at home.
it has changed them because now that they have actually helped they want to continue

becoz abolition movement was related to the womens like abolition of sati , child marriage..that helped women to grow up and come across society and civil rights was related to mostly general people which included womens and other society people...these both helped women becoz womens were not active to the society so this helped women to face the society and to raise their voice
