By having to do with exploration they try to see space craft that can reach the stars.
Astronautical engineers search to see what might have caused the problem and do not make the mistake again.
Aerospace engineers do many things. The design, examine, analyze, and produce many objects like military fighter planes, vehicles, aircraft, spacecraft, missles, and more. There are 2 types of aerospace engineers: the aeronautical and the astronautical engineers.
Aeronautics doesn't necessarily involve the study of spacecraft (but could), whereas astronautical engineering, by definition, involves the study of spacecraft and related objects in space - above the stratosphere.
How have engineers designed spacecraft to operate in the special conditions of space
Aerospace engineers design, test, and supervise the manufacture of aircraft, spacecraft, and missiles. Those who work with aircraft are called aeronautical engineers, and those working specifically with spacecraft are astronautical engineers. Aerospace engineers develop new technologies for use in aviation, defense systems, and space exploration, often specializing in areas such as structural design, guidance, navigation and control, instrumentation and communication, and production methods. They also may specialize in a particular type of aerospace product, such as commercial aircraft, military fighter jets, helicopters, spacecraft, or missiles and rockets, and may become experts in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, celestial mechanics, propulsion, acoustics, or guidance and control systems.

Aerospace engineering is the branch of engineering behind the design, construction and science of aircraft and spacecraft. It is broken into two major and overlapping branches: aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering. The former deals with craft that stay within Earth's atmosphere, and the latter deals with craft that operate outside of Earth's atmosphere.
