Out of fairness and my philosophy (which goes against the grain), that there is no such thing as a stupid question, I am going to explain the inner workings of a lunch bag. Once you have the bag in hand, you need to carefully open it. You can do this in one of several ways. The first way is blowing into it by cupping your hand around the open end of the bag and then placing the opening around your mouth and blowing. The force of the blow (release of air) causes the bag to open. Sometimes, this bombs, due to the strength of the bag or operator error. So your other alternative is to carefully hold the bag in one hand and open it by sliding the other hand carefully inside, releasing the fold at the bottom which allows the lunch bag to stand upright. You can then easily place foods inside. Make sure the heaviest, non-destructable items go on the bottom, like water bottles and fruit. Items like Sandwiches and Twinkies should go on top. Once the food is inside, fold or roll down the top of the bag for easy carrying. Never set the bag in water or else you might lose your lunch (literally!).
Plastic bags are cheaper and I do believe, easier to make as compared to paper bags.
paper

Plastic: you could use it as a lunch sack or to carry things in Paper: recycle.
Although all forms of consumption have some environmental impact, paper bags are much less harmful than plastic bags are.
They are not. It is easier to recycle a brown paper bag than a plastic bag. However, a brown paper bag is more absorbent and can thus absorb germs etc.
Before everyone went to plastic bags grocery sacks and lunch sacks were made of brown paper. If someone was brown bagging it meant they brought their lunch to work or school rather than buying it there. Over the years even if you brought your lunch in a lunch pail you were said to be brown bagging.
Brown paper bags are the best; they're simply and you can stash them anywhere, plus after lunch you don't have to drag around another box or bag.
Yes, Walmart sells clear bags for school lunches. At Walmart, you can find an assortment of different clear lunch bags, along with white paper bags and clear plastic containers.
