Often we do not know exactly. Eruptions can be predicted to a limited degree by analyzing gas emissions and patterns of seismic activity. For example an increase in sulfur dioxide coming from a volcano usually means that molten rock has moved closer to the surface. Certain types of earthquake and tremor can indicate that magma is moving. The problem is no two volcanoes behave in the same way, and it is common for some volcanoes to show signs of unrest like those described above, only to calm down without erupting. Other volcanoes may erupt with little or no warning that we can find.
how can you tell if a volcano going to erupt
you wont not true well when your not boiling in molten lava it didn't or will erupt the next day depending on what volcano your talking about some they know some they don't
There is no limit to how many times a volcano can erupt. Some volcanos erupt constantly and some volcanos are inactive.
don,t know but is still active
when do you know when a volcano is about to erupt
Some are now in Iceland.
That happened in October 2009 in the past and it isn't going to erupt. It never even did.
