There is a simple recipe that you can use to make play dough that can be baked for decorations or moulds.
Take:
2 Cups Salt
2 Cups warm water
5 cups Flour
Food colouring (your choice)
Mix together to make a firm dough that can be moulded with your hands. You may need less than 2 cups of water, but no more than 2 cups of water. If the dough is too mushy, add more flour to make it firm. Once you form your shapes, bake in the oven at 300 for one hour. If you want to hang the shape, make sure you put a hole in the top before you bake it. Make sure you use a non-stick cookie sheet. This can be painted after it has baked and cooled (not before)
To bake playdough:
1. preheat oven to 200 degrees
2.place the playdough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
3. put the playdough in the oven for 5 minutes
4. take the pan out of the oven if you poke the playdough with a toothpick and its still soft put it back in the oven for a couple minutes. if not well your done!
No. Salt and sugar have very different properties. Also, salt is used to discourage small children from eating the playdough, which would certainly be a problem if sugar were used.
i try getting it out but it ruins the mold when i take it out it looks ugly is there a tool of something that can get the playdough out of the playdough mold?
Certain brands of playdough can be cooked in the oven to preserve the playdough, however it is best to check the packet before placing the dough in the oven as most playdough should not be baked.
yes playdough goes hard HA HA RICHARD WAS WRONG HA.
I am not sure. The only pink playdough I've ever seen is when I made it with a piece of red and white playdough. Right now after my research, I would say no.
