This is not as difficult as it looks. You can almost reach in behind the carpeting in the trunk and feel the two bolts that hold the integrated light assembly. I took off the upper inside carpet holder by prying off the center piece and then pulling out that carpet holder. Once the two nuts have been taken off, the assembly can be removed. There are several plastic nubs that go into the car body, so you may have to wiggle the assembly, but it comes out. The assembly is still connected to the car by the electrical wires, but you can now see several holders in the assembly which hold the individual lights (brake / turn / hazzard). Good luck.

Push brake light housing toward glass and pop up out of deck. Pull housing toward you and turn sideways. Twist and remove bulb. Replacing is the opposite.
