that's easy if the slacks are working they will adjust the brakes .if they are not working the brakes will be out of adjustment.
I work at a class 8 truck dealership, there are 2 types of slack adjusters, auto and manual. If you have auto slack adjusters, they will adjust themselves to a point, however, if you have no braking capability to speak of other parts are probally wore out, s cams or clevis posibbly s cam bushings, brake chambers. Manual slack adjusters should be checked in my opinion only at least at every pm or when braking capability suffers. Those big trucks take a lot more time and space to stop and their brakes had better be in good shape or dot will shut them down if caught.
Business.com provides commercial vehicle companies and quotes. You could also check einsurance.com.
To answer that question I believe because of the gross vehicle weght the half/ton would not be considered a commercial vehicle, but however check with your local DMV.
Regular automobile insurance helps a car owner if the car hits a commercial vehicle. A commercial vehicle needs commercial insurance or a commercial rider in many states. Check with your agent.
Where I live if the truck was manufactured with automatic slack adjusters you can NOT replace them with manual ones. Check with your local DOT you never know.
There are lots of places where someone can purchase a Pontiac commercial vehicle. It is always good to check out Craigslist, or the Pontiac website. Other places include; Cars, and Autotrader.
Check that it has adjusters on the rocker arms, as Lombardini have switched to hydraulic tappets on most of these engines. If yours has adjusters, the manual can be downloaded from their website. Cheers, John Higgie
Check with a tire store and see if you need an alignment.
The answer to this question is - check you local ordnances. Many towns and cities DO restrict overnight parking of commercial vehicles in residential zones -BUT- just as many, if not more, have no rules addressing this.
If you mean 'Why does the stop light on my Peugeot 406 light when the hand brake is not on?' then here are some possible reasons 1 check the fluid level in the reservoir under bonnet 2 check that hand brake is functioning properly 3 check rear wheel cylinders for leakage 4 check brake shoes for wear 5 check the brake adjusters Most likely reason is that the shoes are worn and/or the adjusters are not functioning which can lead to leakage from the rear wheel cylinders. Brakes may still work but if there is excessive play on the hand brake this is a good indicator that the adjusters need tensioning Rosignol
It might. You should check with your personal auto insurance first. For some business use they will extend the coverage. If they tell you that it will not be covered under your personal policy then you need a commercial policy.
If you haven't paid the vehicle off, then you must repair the vehicle with the insurance check. If you don't owe a bank anything, you are not required to fix the vehicle. Keep in mind, if the vehicle has unrepaired physical damage and you get in another accident the insurance company will not give you another penny. They are only required to repair the vehicle to the condition it was in prior to the accident. If it was already damaged, they won't give you a dime
Prices vary greatly depending on where you live and condition of the vehicle. Check with local dealers, vehicle manufacturers, trade magazines, and a local newspaper to help you find the best price.
